ADULT CONFIRMATION
Adult Confirmation sessions are offered yearly for baptized Catholics over the age of 18 who seek to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and/or First Communion).
Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist (“Holy Communion”) together constitute the sacraments of Christian initiation. The reception of Confirmation is therefore necessary (and not optional) for being a fully initiated Christian.
CANDIDATES
Preparation for Confirmation aims at leading the candidate toward a more intimate union with the Blessed Trinity, learning to live as an active disciple of Jesus Christ and an engaged member of His Church.
"The reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
